This morning, June 1, a terrible shooting took place at UCLA in the Engineering complex. Two people died and the entire campus was put under lockdown for more than two hours.
Ha’Am extends condolences to the families of the dead. We are devastated by this tragedy, as is the rest of UCLA, and hold the victims, along with all those affected, in our thoughts and prayers.
May the mourners and our community be “brought out from sorrow to relief, from darkness to light…now, speedily and soon.” (Ashkenazi morning service, following the Torah reading)
